Kathmandu: The Ujjaya Nepal Party has called on the government to immediately make public the report of the inquiry commission led by Gauri Bahadur Karki.

Concern Over Delay
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the party said delaying the publication of the report related to the Gen-G movement goes against democratic values. It described the continued secrecy despite the report’s submission to the government as “sad and worrying.”

The party warned that withholding the report could increase confusion, suspicion and distrust toward the state among citizens.

Call for Transparency and Justice
According to the party, the report should not remain confined to government files but serve as a basis for public accountability, institutional reform and responsibility determination.

It emphasized that victims and their families are expecting truth, justice and accountability, stating that “only by making the truth public can the path to justice, reform and social trust be opened.”

Five-Point Demand
-The party has put forward five key demands:
-Immediate publication of the report
-Clarification on reasons and timeline for delays
-Legal action against those responsible
-Justice and compensation for victims
-Reforms in the security system to prevent recurrence

Accountability and Governance Issue
Party spokesperson Raju Thapa said the issue goes beyond publication, calling it a matter of democratic governance, public accountability and civic trust.

He urged the government to act swiftly by releasing the report and ensuring strict action against those found responsible.
